In this series letterforms, abstract calligraphy and text are incorporated into colorful semi-abstractions. Each piece begins with a word or words (all in English so far), which are then lost, to one extent or another, beneath an irregular topography of dramatically thickened pigment. My intent was to create space for the viewer to contemplate their associations with the words as they take in the visual experience of the painting.
