The pieces in this gallery were inspired by the art of the Chinese Cultural Revolution and the irony of the popularity of the style representing that oppressive political movement. Images of Chairman Mao, like images of Che Guevara have become little more than "famous faces" like Marilyn Monroe or Albert Einstein.
